Airport transfer to Dominicus

You can fly into three airports for Dominicus. La Romana is the closest; Punta Cana has the most flights. Here is what to expect from each.

La Romana airport (LRM) — 16 km

The closest airport, about 20 minutes by car. It has fewer routes than Punta Cana.

Punta Cana airport (PUJ) — 68 km

The airport with the most flights from Europe. By motorway it usually takes 50 to 60 minutes to Dominicus. The motorway has tolls.

Santo Domingo airport (SDQ)

The country’s main airport. The drive takes about an hour and a half, depending on traffic.

How to travel

• Private transfer — the most comfortable; the driver waits with a sign in arrivals. We are happy to book it, just send us your flight number.
• Taxi — waiting outside the terminal; always agree the fare first, meters are not used here.
• Shared shuttle — cheaper, but it stops at several hotels and takes longer.
• Hire car — useful if you plan to explore the island. Parking at the apartments is free.

Arriving at the apartment

A few days before your flight we send the exact address and arrival instructions. Keys are handed over in person — message our manager on WhatsApp when you are about 20 minutes from Dominicus.
