The quiet end of Bayahibe — people keep coming back

Dominicus sits on the south-east coast of the Dominican Republic, next to the fishing village of Bayahibe and on the edge of Cotubanamá National Park. There are no all-inclusive crowds here: paved lanes, small restaurants cooking the morning catch, and a white-sand beach that regularly makes the lists of the finest in the Caribbean.

Sail to Saona or Catalina in the morning, have fresh ceviche by the beach in the afternoon, and walk through town in the evening while a live band plays. La Romana airport is 16 km away, Punta Cana about an hour.
