Arrival and keys

Keys are handed over in person by our manager Ilona (+1 (829) 668-1136, WhatsApp only). Message her when you are about 20 minutes from Dominicus.
Check-in 16:00 – 19:00, check-out 8:00 – 10:00. Earlier arrival or later departure can usually be arranged depending on occupancy.
Parking is free inside the residence; there is security at the gate — just give your apartment number.
Wi-fi and connectivity
Wi-fi is free throughout the apartment and handles video calls.
The network name and password are on the card in the apartment; if you cannot find it, message the manager.
If the internet drops, switch the router off for ten seconds and back on. If that does not help, let us know — it is usually a provider outage and we chase it immediately.
Mobile coverage is good across town, more than enough for WhatsApp.
Inside the apartment
Air conditioning: the remote is by the bedroom door. Please switch it off when you go out — the residence fuses are sensitive and an overload trips the whole block.
Electricity is 110 V with US type A/B sockets. An adapter for European plugs is in the kitchen drawer.
Drinking water comes from the bottle dispenser in the kitchen. Do not drink tap water, not even for brushing teeth; it is fine for showering and washing up.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Before leaving, please just leave the dishes washed or in the dishwasher.
Bed linen and towels are included. On stays over ten days the manager comes once to clean and change the linen at no charge.
Smoking indoors is not allowed. You may smoke on the balcony or terrace; an ashtray is available on request.
Pool and grounds
The pools in the residence are free for guests, including the sun loungers under the palms. They are usually open from 8:00 to 20:00.
Please do not take apartment towels to the pool — beach towels are available on request.
Glass bottles and crockery are not allowed at the pool; security enforces this.
The residence is gated and guarded 24 hours a day. Security opens the gate — just give your apartment number.
Waste and cleaning
Waste goes into the containers by the entrance to the residence. There is no separation here, everything goes together.
Leave empty water bottles by the door and the manager will replace them.
You do not need to worry about cleaning during the stay — the apartment is cleaned before you arrive and final cleaning is included.
If something breaks or stops working, please tell us straight away. Most things we can fix the same day.
Nearby
Playa Dominicus is a few minutes on foot. It is at its best early — around seven it is almost empty.
A supermarket and smaller shops are in the town centre, ten minutes away. They usually close around eight in the evening.
Restaurants: several Italian places near the beach, Dominican cooking in the centre. Try the fresh fish and ceviche on your first day.
There is an ATM in the centre. Pesos are standard, dollars are accepted nearly everywhere, euros less so.
A pharmacy and a small clinic are in Bayahibe, about ten minutes by car.
Getting around
La Romana airport (LRM) is 16 km away, Punta Cana (PUJ) 68 km. Transfers are arranged with the manager.
Taxis and motoconchos (motorbike taxis) serve the area. Agree the fare in advance — meters are not used here.
Car or scooter hire is arranged with a trusted partner. Driving is on the right; watch for motorbikes.
Bayahibe is about a 40-minute walk along the coast, or a few minutes by taxi.

The residence has 24/7 security. Even so, do not leave valuables on the balcony and lock up when you go out.
Do not leave belongings unattended on the beach. The sea is calm, but follow the flags when there is swell.
The sun is stronger than it feels. High-factor sunscreen and plenty of water matter most in the first two days.
Departure
Check-out follows the times listed for the property; confirm the exact time with the manager the day before.
Leave the keys on the kitchen table and pull the door shut, or hand them to the manager in person.
Please check the safe, the sockets by the bed and your chargers — that is where things get left behind.
